Data Viz Census 2020

Using the dataset from a survey from Dataviz Society Website, I came up with this Dashboard showing the volume of people using a data visualization on their organization.

We have 1,766 respondents from 82 participating countries. 50.96% are Men, 39.01% are Women, and 1.64 are Non-Binary or Trans. And mostly have their Masters Degree.

Both private and public sector top what kind of organization are using Data Viz, and followed by Information Technology.

The uses of Data Viz on their organization are mostly for Analysis, Summary/Overview, and Communication.

Inside the organization, the bar chart shows that Design, Research, and Data Science are the parts of the organization mostly Data Viz are involve.

When it comes to who the Data Viz makes for, General Public, Analysts, and Executives are the tops.

In Data Viz tools and most used charts, Excel and Line Chart top the survey with a wide margin.

In presenting the data visualization. Using a Dashboard is widely used for our respondents.

When it comes to their challenges or frustrations, Lack of Time has a wide margin to other answers.

But there are some helpful methods identified that are very useful to them, like Books, Workshops, Examples, Etc.

By using this dashboard, we can understand the trend of how data visualization now in our society.
